Blountville, TN:  Low fare carrier Allegiant Air is making a schedule change in May for its nonstop flights from Tri-Cities Regional Airport to Ft. Lauderdale.  Beginning May 1, 2009, Allegiant Air is changing the days of the TRI/FLL flight schedule to Monday and Friday instead of Tuesday and Friday. 

Flights depart Tri-Cities at 7:20 p.m. arriving in Fort Lauderdale at 9:20 p.m. Flights leaving Fort Lauderdale depart at 4:30 p.m. arriving in the Tri-Cities at 6:40 p.m. (all flight times are local.) 

Allegiant Air also offers flights from TRI to Orlando-Sanford International Airport (SFB) and Tampa Bay through the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (PIE).  Tickets can be booked through the Allegiant website at www.allegiantair.com, the airline's Reservations Center at 702-505-8888 or professional travel agents.
