Blountville, TN: Tri-Cities Regional Airport’s (TCRA) accounting department has been recognized again with a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). This marks the tenth year TCRA has received the award.

The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) provides information on the structure, personnel, economic situation and finances of the Airport, including an independent audit and statistics for key financial indicators. This is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting.

TCRA Director of Finance, Bill Anderson, also received an Award of Financial Reporting Achievement for his responsibility in preparing the award-winning financial report. "This award is the result of all of the departments within the Airport Commission operating efficiently and maintaining our accounting standards every day," says Anderson.

The report preparations were a joint effort between TCRA and the auditing firm of Blackburn, Childers & Steagall. The GFOA is a nonprofit, professional association serving approximately 16,000 government finance professionals with offices in Chicago and Washington, DC. An impartial panel judged the CAFR based upon the highest standards of the program.
