"We are very excited about the return of nonstop Detroit service and the opportunity for our passengers to have alternative access to Delta's extensive domestic and international network," said Melissa Thomas, director of marketing and air service development. "We anticipate the community's response will be enthusiastic, leading to additional daily flights in the future."

Northwest Airlines (now Delta Air Lines) began nonstop service from TRI to Detroit in 2003, but discontinued it shortly after merging with Delta last year.  Tickets can be booked through the Airport's booking engine at http://www.TRIflight.com or on the Delta Air Lines website at http://www.delta.com.
